Folks,

I've been wanting to get a Sirius XM hookup in my car for a while now. I was going to buy a new deck, but the Sony Xplod (model number unknown at the moment) says it is XM capable. How does this work? I was told I could buy a XM hookup thing for the back of the unit. But, I don't want to go out and waste the money if this won't work. Does anybody have any experience with this? I hear it basically uses the CD Changer port for audio instead. Also, I was considering getting an Alpine head unit with the XM receiver built in. But, they are hard to find in my area.

Thanks

You can get Alpine from Crutchfield.CA

My experience with add on modules is that they can be finicky.
If you can get XM build into a unit that would be better IMHO.
