I'm just looking for some opinions in my system and a recommendation for a pair of good 12s or a single 15...

Head unit = pioneer deh-80prs
Components 2 sets= JL C5653's
2 8 inch JL 8w0-4 in rear deck of car...
Sub amp...Alpine v12 mrd-m1005
Amp running 8's a little excessive but alpine pdx m6 just because I had it...and currently 2 12 alpine type R's

JL W7's unless budget is a concern.

What do you have for battery/alternator/capacitors?

Yes, better in car audio section; however, what do you want to hear? It's good?
As for a suggestion, this is better?

Audio, and your system is subjective.

Your installation, the enclosures used, as well as you car environment shape the sound; hence, a useful answer is not possible.

Back in my car audio days 1990's through early 2000's, some of the most expensive systems sounded like shi# and some of the simplest, or biggest sleeper systems, sounded best.

Car audio is all about application and making it work in your environment.

If it sounds good to you, what more do you need?

You need a better listening room.Truly good sound in a car is tough.Road noise and MP3 go well together.

It's a waste spending a lot on a hifi that must play in such a loud environment.

Get a nice sounding exhaust system and spend the difference on your home system!

Welcome to cam
What kind of car do you have? And what don't you like about the system that's in it now?
i'm gonna guess those jl 8's are mounted to the read deck with no box....IB style. the trunk is your box.
Your sub amp is not excessive, as long as you have your gain set correct.
You have a nice deck that has a lot of tuning built in.
Do you have a amp for your door speaker's? i don't see a amp listed for those
