I have an Epson 8350 which I bought as refurb from Epson for a decent deal at the time. These projectors are not known for their long lamp life so I wanted to pick up a spare. Considering Epson sells lamps for a cool $400 I don't think its worth it considering what I paid for the whole projector. Has anyone bought a non-original lamp from any reseller that they would recommend? I don't want to totally cheap out either, there are lots of lamps from sketchy sellers for $50 but if $125 will buy a higher quality lamp then that is fine.

I have same projector bought refurb. I have used the cheaper Amazon suppliers to purchase bulbs to good success. Aftre the OEM bulb, I had about 1800 hours on the amazon one and now just installed the 2nd one and have about 400 hours on it. They are a bit dimmer, but have been working solid for me.

Sorry I am at work so dont have the exact link for the supplier.

OEM bulb is still working with about 2500 hrs on it, just sitting as a stand by if other fails.

I bought a replacement for my 10 year old Samsung 56 inch rear projection tv last year. They claimed it was original replacement. It was absolutely identical to the original as far as numbers and visual inspection. Think I paid around $130 for it. Fit perfectly.

I have bought three back up bulbs for my Mitsubishi HC5 from Projector Lamp Source.ca. I haven't tried them yet as I only have abut 1600 hours on the original bulb but at least they had them. They weren't cheap (over $300 each) but I like my projector and I wanted to be able to have spare bulbs that may not be available later on. In fact I liked my projector so much I bought a second one as a backup.
