I tough I would start this tread to help us, when facing the dilemma of building-finishing an audio room and/or video theatre room!

I'll like for us all that it become a reference for ''installation parts'' choice, when you get ready, to build and finish the room.

I'll go with this and you can add on, witch ever components or part you judge of interest, no one is better or worst than the other, each have it's plus or minus and should be judge only by comparison with the other offering. There will be evolution, company line-up development, in time, for more convenience or concurrence !

If I were to, build such a room I would link all those walls ''receptacle combos'', with wall pipe like cheap vacuum pipe so I can make change in cabling as time and needs evolve !

To be noted, there is a recess to allow plugging ac and not disturb a flat TV installation, or wall mount self power audio column.

This is a very interesting topic which should be made "Sticky" so it remains at the top of the Topics List. I will also move it to the Home Theatre section as this type of installation is much more useful and used in HT setups.

Important to note that a unit's high voltage AC power cable, IS NOT ALLOWED to go in wall.
Any cable ( speaker cable, signal cable)that is supposed to go into a wall, must be FT-4 rated, and CSA/UL approved
This is why you can use retro-fit adaptors like this Sanus in-wall cable management kit.
