I can see Colin Ferrell playing a fine roll, but Vince Vaughn? Two more major rolls to be filled.
It looks interesting, but to better season one will be almost impossible.

I just started to watch season one again, and Matthew's performance is probably the best acting I have ever seen. Big Screen or cable.

Personally I know that Vince Vaughn will be fine but for me Colin Farrell ruins movies (except Horrible Bosses). Malick's The New World would have been far better with out that set of eyebrows in it. The Total Recall remake, Fright Night...all painful because of him. Oh well hopefully given a solid script and direction his ego and a studios need to push him as a sex symbol (what?!) won't get in the way.

Of course someone will say Matthew Mcconaughey is a similar actor but he has a far more interesting and skilled body of work when you consider films like Mud, Killer Joe, The Paperboy and Dallas Buyer's Club.

Just my 2 cents, so clearly not worth much. Still looking forward to the next season though.

Farrell has talent but no range...check him out along side the master actor Brendan Gleeson in the film In Bruges...superb...

I would suggest Mireille Enos. She is one of the grittiest actresses out there today. Her roles in "The Killing" and "Sabotage" were like night and day.
One a good cop, and one an addict and sexual whirlwind.

Plus Mireille is absolutely stunning.... IMHO.

Not two of my favorites, but I'll give it a shot.

In Bruges didn't leave much of an impression on me at the time but maybe I had just seen too many of the Guy Ritchie/UK crime comedies as they were in mass production there for a while.

But as I said, hopefully he'll be fine given a solid script and direction and if the first season is any indication that should be the case.

Farrell has made a few good movies, and I agree he doesn't have the depth, but after Woody and Matthew the talent pool gets shallow really quick.

One other actor that I have seen live the role was Sam Rockwell
Check him out in a movie called "A Single Shot".

Enos has been rumoured to be in the next TD. She can give cop stink eye like the best of them, the Killing was sensational.
