Again fair enough...some movies (books, T.V. shows, plays etc.) are not necessarily in the business of being liked...in the sense of "I like chocolate but not vanilla"...but to challenge the viewer out of his/her comfort zone so as to present an opportunity for transformation, discovery or change...think Terrence Malick and David Fincher films...Thomas Pynchon and David Foster Wallace novels for example...I'm not saying American Hustle falls into that class...but I do know Russell is motivated to make great films...BTW...this from a guy who "liked" Monsters University... :D

One of the best films of 2013, IMO...liked it so much I watched it twice...editing was superb...

Got a chance to watch most of it this weekend and I wasn't that thrilled with it. Too bad, was looking forward to more. I guess that's what happens when something is so hyped up.
