:D ANd now forgotten. THe big bang thumbing beat of the DC5 "Glad All Over", Although, "Anyway You Want It" was a big heavy song for its time. There was a lot of fun and great stuff during the British invasion that led to the American bands upping their response, I. E. the Beach Boys "good Vibrations" anything by the Byrds, and of course, Motown. Music still had a sense of something new and exciting . Just my take on things. But at least they used "Real Instruments'..

This song is 47 years old and I had never heard it before until discovering it on one of my satellite music channels recently. Crazy!

Guitarist Mick Abrahams formed Blodwyn Pig shortly after he left Jethro Tull following the release of their 1st album This Was.

Ahead Rings Out is a fantastic blues/rock album with a smattering of jazz elements thrown in for good measure.

Song from one of my go to albums
Bold Marauder by John Kay from "Forgotten Songs And Unsung Heroes.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BhUkjeMDADg
Song by Richard Farina (Married to Mimi Farina who was one of Joan Baez" sisters) Richard was thought to maybe be a songwriter as big as Dylan at one time, but tragically, was killed at a young age in a motorcycle accident

Happy Listening, Craig

Some Kinks fans might say that Waterloo Sunset is the most beautiful song that Sir Raymond Davies ever wrote. Others may say Celluloid Heroes deserves that honor.

Imho this one surpasses them both....all 2 minutes and 28 seconds of it.

In honour of Levon Helm who we lost five years ago today. An immense talent and one of the true icons of Americana music.

Can't believe Paul Butterfield has been gone 30 years today. Don't think he got the credit he deserved for his contribution musically due to his well publicised drug problems.

Great song here:

Ann and Nancy Wilson channeling Led Zeppelin.

One of their best songs imo.

Blodwyn was in heavy rotation in high school days.
