Happy New Year to you all,

I have not been hitting the CDs and LPs stores for more than 11 years. I have no idea what is left around...

I am in Port Credit and I am wondering what CDs and LPs stores would you recommend relatively close to Port Credit.

Thank you for your help!

PS Obviously I know Ric's store... I am asking about other stores...

Maybe not close enough for you but Pop Culture Vulture in Oakville (Speers and 4th Line) deserves a shout-out. Lot's of new and used flowing in and out, as well as CD's etc. etc.

Top it off it's run by a great group of guys.

Deep.

I second Pop Vulture Culture in Oakville. Great people and their prices are extremely reasonable. Well worth the drive.

Ha - now I see your user name ... a great one! It seems we have the same kind of taste... I am stuck in the 70s too (music & equipment...)

Great - thank you!

If you would like to hook-up for some music hunt at Dons place - let me know!

@rmihai, you're in for some sticker shock. You been in the big house or something?

Anybody been in the place on Kerr, just up from Lakeshore in Oakville lately?

A little further out is Loony Toons on Brant St in Burlington, a few blocks from the Lakeshore Rd.

Ha ha ha - "big house" indeed! We had twins almost exactly 11 years ago, on top of another son that was 10 at the time. I just had my hands full.

Certainly I remember fondly the place on Kerr & Lakeshore. It is still there?

And Loony Toons certainly I remember too! Are they still in business?

Sticker shock for sure. Two of my favourite records I bought about 11-12 years ago at Records on Wheels in Dundas .Near mint at $4 each. They are still there but NM $4 lps ain't.

Hi rmihai,i won't be at Dons for next few weeks because work will keep me tied up.The regulars that hunt there are pretty friendly and knowledgeable.Good luck with hunting and i am sure we will cross paths there.

Another recommendation for PCV Records in Oakville. (4th Line & Speers)
This is what I picked up there yesterday...

The guy on Kerr Street in Oakville (Records on Wheels) is sometimes open and his prices are unreasonable. I drive past the store once in a while but he is closed more often than not. Do you really need 10 copies of Lionel Richie "Dancing on the Ceiling" ranging in price from $10 to $40? The used records are in a dank, dusty and dimly lit basement. He only takes cash.
The last time I went there and he happened to be open, I left after 20 minutes, went home and had another shower! The rumour mill indicates he is willing to sell his hoard...I mean "collection" for a million bucks.
Pop Culture Vulture and The Beat Goes On, are both in Oakville and much better. They are good, clean, well lit and reasonably priced. PCV gets my vote are the largest selection of used & new records. Knowledgeable staff and reasonable prices.
