I bought the digital download of the latest Foo Fighters album directly from their web site and I opted for the 'High Res' version. What downloaded was Redbook CD quality .wav files. That's higher resolution than MP3 (the other digital purchase choice) but hardly what I would consider high resolution. Did anyone else buy it this way? If so, what downloaded for you?

This seems strange because when they gave away the St Cecilia EP the digital download was actual higher than CD resolution flac files so I assume that the Foo merchandise team actually understands the difference.

I heard back from their web store support people. 16 bit Wav is what they are selling under the 'High-Res' option so I got what I was supposed to get.
