Noticed this on Tidal this morning and it was released today. Just a friendly FYI

also available as a strictly 192/24 download from ProStudioMasters. Production sounds super slick.

Sound is quite good coming straight out of Tidal. I've heard much worse. Her voice is recorded very close "à la Melody Gardot". Not sure I like it because she has no voice... And unfortunately the way its recorded emphasize her lack of it.... Just listen to "Night and Day" and you'll understand what I mean... But the recording, music and feel is good.

I'm impressed with the price of the 192/24 file at Pro Studio Master.

This is 25% more than the CD in the store. Is this typical?

Looks an awful lot like a McIntosh MT-10 viewed from the tonearm side

I listened to this album last night and while I like the mood of the album and the recording/production is about perfect, I just felt Ms Krall sounded, well, quite bad - it's like she's struggling, mechanically, to produce sound.

I've Played her earliest albums enough over last 15-20 years to know that she CAN sing (I like her vocal on Stepping Out), but here she sounds tired and really wish she'd canned the whispered sultry attempt and tried to sing, or, just gone instrumental.

Just curious if anyone picked up the LP? I grabbed one a while back from Amazon.ca for $27 but is over $50 from the same site. Their pricing is so off sometimes. I will not be able to hear it till Monday. Any one heard the LP version yet? I guess same recording but wonder if the pressing was good.

I just listened to a couple. Diana is ok, the music is well recorded though.

A bit off topic re the album cover. Same as Wallflower I think whoever picked the album cover among the hundreds of photos did a crap job. There're much better pics of Diana...

I wouldn't mind her sitting next to my Linn

Reading your comment this AM (before I heard the album) I thought your comment might be a bit harsh -- but now that I've just heard the album on Tidal, I think you were insightful and on to something (not ON something  ).

Sorry, but not after she's laid the record down on the table like that without the inner sleeve.

I was certainly ON something; more accurately, something was IN me. Sadly, this something made me more focused on the faults.
