Two more good ones from 2015 that I just picked up at the end of the year - and for what it's worth, they are among the meager pickings available to us Canucks on the sucky HDTracks site:

Pops Staples "Don't Lose This" - the gospel-blues-soul patriarch's last recordings were unfinished so daughter Mavis added her amazing voice (along with some sparse instrumentation added) and this is the result

Martin Simpson "Murmurs" - a sort-of English folk "supergroup" that fans of classic Pentangle should appreciate, with much better recording quality than Pentangle ever dreamed of

I know we're well into 2016, but here's my find from 2015.

Eva Cassidy Nightbird (4 LP)

Nightbird consists of 31 songs recorded in one night at the Blues Alley jazz club in Georgetown, DC (Jan. 3, 1996). Encompasses the full spectrum of Eva’s gospel, blues, jazz and folk roots. Of the 31 songs, 12 are previously unreleased including the title track Nightbird as well as the jazz standards It Don’t Mean A Thing (If It Ain’t Got That Swing) and Fever. Of the 12 unreleased tracks, 8 are previously unheard songs. These include Son Of A Preacher Man, Route 66, Late in The Evening, Baby I Love You and Caravan.

There's also a DVD of the concert (PAL format only?).

Listened to some of the songs there....simply beautiful. Thanks for the heads up on it.
I fell in love with them first after hearing this beauty during The Last Waltz.

^^^ My pleasure, drywhitetoast! That's the great thing about the "new release" threads on CAM, finding new music that grabs us.

Great link from The Last Waltz - real music from the heart, it doesn't get much better than that!

This album sounds fantastic too - "Somebody Was Watchin" makes for a great auditioning track. Also, have to give it up to Jeff Tweedy and his son for the sparse instrumentation. This has to be one of the most respectfully done, most enjoyable posthumous releases ever.

Hey Norm, thanks for sharing this man. Live at Blues Alley has been one of my favorites and now I see this. Listening to it right now on Tidal and it sounds great. Fantastic music by Eva and a great band also. So ordered the cd+dvd. Owe you one :0) Thanks.
