The War on Drugs - Lost in the Dream

Kurt Vile leaving may have been the best thing to happen to this band.

Just released last Tuesday from the Grateful Dead site.

Grateful Dead - Wake Up To Find Out.
A complete show from the spring 1990 tour. Nassau Coliseum, Uniondale, NY. March 29th, 1990.

Branford Marsalis joined them for "The Bird Song" during the first set. The band members asked him to join them for the entire second set.
A rare and wonderful combination.

3 HDCD set.
I will enjoy this tonight!! 8)

I don't actually have it yet but have heard enough of it being played on Jazz91.1FM to confidently put in my favorite list for the year.

(Audiofils, I just needed a gentle push for Popular Problems, local HMV has the LP so I'll have it tomorrow ;)

I've been quite enjoying the new Barr Brothers "Sleeping Operator" and something that totally caught me off guard My Brightest Diamond "This is my hand"--heard a track on radio paradise that I really liked and the whole thing is quite solid.

She is really good - new to me, thanks for the heads-up.

Saw a live video, lovely contemporary folk with a touch of the old school. I'm guessing Albert would probably like this one...

These 3 have been blowing my mind. I even put them all in my best sounding top 100 selections out of the thousands of recordings that I own.

Three Bells - Mike Auldridge + Jerry Douglas + Rob Ikes
(3 Dobroists on one recording)

The Toure-Raichel Collective - The Paris Sessions
(Ali Farke Toure's son)

Martin Zeller : Violincello - J.S. Bach Cello Suites Vol. 2
(newest from M.A recordings)
