Picked up the new Avett brothers.
It's called Carpenter.
Mostly acoustic and laid back.

I also broke down while at Sunrise today and picked up four more Zappa reissues.
Roxy and Elsewhere
Just Another Band From LA
Zappa In New York
Sheik Yerbutti

The batch of Zappa reissues are being released September 28th.
I may have to join Zappaholics Anonymus!!!

Hi jdrauger, the way to add pictures is very easy, once through with your first three submit and right away post another reply for another three, if you want to add more keep posting reply after every three pics.

Yes there is, I also found a few SACD as well as a sony SACD player.

Speculating it was someone associated with recording studios / business as a lot are promo copies and or cancelled bar code must have been over 400 titles. Another guy pick up 40 for what he said it would normally cost for 2 or 3.

got to love a bargain

Yes, they are releasing virtually the whole Zappa catalog over the next few months - 5 batches of 12 albums each. I hope Leather is included. My preference for vinyl notwithstanding I'll buy it on CD to have the music.

Which is the reason my latest CD pick up is Corb Lund's Cabin Fever; couldn't find it on vinyl. A really great Canadian artist in my opinion and this may be his best yet. On reviewer said he does true country music with his own idiosyncratic twist and I think that is a fine description. Funny, sad, traditional and modern - great stuff. Even the yodeling.

The limited edition gold cd of Crosby Stills & Nash (the 1st album) which I just got sounds amazing. I think I'll lend it to a friendly TAVES exhibutor for a demo disc at the show.

I am using these new additions primarily to test the NAD M51 DAC I have on demo.

Familiar - Brooke Miller
Traversata - Dave Grisman - HDTracks
Till the Sun Turns Black - Ray LaMontagne

It's pretty sweet. I got it a few years ago for a very reasonable price. It now sells for a disgusting amount ( $900+) :0

Nice, but for $900+ I'll forgo the vinyl and get this one on CD, which is what this thread is about after all. 8)

I missed the Rhino reissue when it came out and there doesn't seem to be a lot of information about this series. I can't find a list of what's being issued when or whether or not Lather is part of it. The press releases say "All 60" Zappa albums so I suspect it will be. The four albums that Lather was chopped up into are part of the next set but Lather itself is not. Also can't see anything about this series being available on vinyl so who knows? Maybe someone has better search skill than me and has more information.
