4 SHM-CD reissues from the inestimable Beverly Kenney.

I discovered her by accident a few months ago while perusing the New Releases on the CDJapan website. I had never even heard of her, let alone heard her sing. After witnessing her prodigious talent on youtube I was hooked. Imho she should have been a 'can't miss' but unfortunately her career trajectory coincided with the dawn of Rock 'n Roll and as a result she became a footnote and was essentially forgotten, except in Japan where she is revered as a cult figure. She was the real-deal: vastly underrated and criminally overlooked. Tragically she took her own life in 1960. She was just 28. Do yourself a favor and check her out.

Jet, Get born, never bought it when issued and could not find it lately. But saw it at the Beatmerchant Record Store in Steveston (Richmond), BC. Talked to Frankie, he has a lot of music knowledge. Shop also has vinyl, new and used, all types of music genres in CD and vinyl . Great that shops like this still exist.
