Love early Aerosmith ... especially, that album.

Very timely post.....
Been going through a bit of a renaissance lately buying nothing but vinyl

Visited a couple of local stores here in the Peg, Sonus Musica and Into the Music
A few of the highlights

Bruce Cockburn-Dancing in the Dragon's Jaw (one of the best sounding LP's I have heard)
Metallica- The Black Album (New)
Eagles - Best of Vol.1
Gerry Rafferty - City to City
Fleetwood Mac - Tusk
Eagles - Best of Vol.2

A bunch of others that I haven't listened to yet very excited to get near mint LP's for $4-$8

Paul, you will find that most of Bruce Cockburn's albums will be VERY good; the recording values and producation is excellent in most all of his releases. "dancing" is one of my favourites as well.

Found this one at a multi-vendor antique mall in Albuquerque today; $4.50. Couldn't believe what I stumbled into: probably close to 4000 LPs' and at least half of the selection is jazz! Didn't have a chance to look through everything because it was late in the afternoon and I didn't want to get caught in the evening rush-hour(s) traffic on the way home. The majority of the collection looked to be in waay above average condition and everything was priced at $2.50 to $6.50. There are 3 record stores in the same neighborhood and I can't believe that this stuff isn't completely picked through by now. I saw a very rare Heath Brothers LP on the Strata East label and although it was in fair/poor condition, I've seen it sell on ebay for $75.00+ in the same condition.

Needless to say I'm going back early in the am tomorrow.

....not as fortunate here HFJ...this was the best from a carton of LPs that was given to me....seems it was recorded at a time when there was some overlap in the fashion & upholstery industries.

I bought this when it came out in the mid-80's, I don't remember what influenced me, I'm sure it wasn't getting airplay, it must have been a newspaper review. Forget the genre appetite, this album is a must-have for music lovers. If you are fortunate enough to find it at a record show in nice shape, just buy it....
Thanks for the reminder, haven't played it in a while.

Oh, and I'm now calculating my drive time to Albuqurque.......

Yes ... great album. Mine is an original pressing. I have noticed recently you can get a reissued version on the "Music on Vinyl" series.

Is that the series that is the "stay away from" series? Or are they worth getting?

Here's a pic of the original and the new one with a slightly different coloured cover.

As an exhibitor at the show, we can get first picks, if we are fast....grabbed this about 5 minutes before Taves opened:
