Very timely post.....
Been going through a bit of a renaissance lately buying nothing but vinyl

Visited a couple of local stores here in the Peg, Sonus Musica and Into the Music
A few of the highlights

Bruce Cockburn-Dancing in the Dragon's Jaw (one of the best sounding LP's I have heard)
Metallica- The Black Album (New)
Eagles - Best of Vol.1
Gerry Rafferty - City to City
Fleetwood Mac - Tusk
Eagles - Best of Vol.2

A bunch of others that I haven't listened to yet very excited to get near mint LP's for $4-$8

"The Merry Widow" Franz Lehar : Elisabeth Schwartzkopf and Philharmonia Orchestra

Out of fashion to be a classical vinyl junkie, but it's so available, so cheap and usually clean, and people are almost giving it away!

Also on order (new) : Willie Nelson and Wynton Marsalis- Two Men With the Blues...highly recommended on CAM (thanks guys!) and Ricki Lee Jones Pop Pop

Don't you wish Stereophile would just admit "we really liked the record jacket"!

Well maybe not the most popular......but a signed by band copy...so thought give it a spin , no idea what to call it but having a good time....

The Shenanigans : Live At The Brass Hood "77.

I wonder if they still exist ?
This is from Rosetown Sask.

Not on line anyways ?

Kind of a nice home grown change anyway...

Brian

Some used mono Chet Atkins from the 1950's.

These were in great shape, almost zero surface noise.

The tone of his guitar on the early RCA mono's was never duplicated as the recording technology advanced.

Or maybe he switched guitars and amps(going from tubes to solid state?)

Then some jazz re releases from Blue note.-Horace Silver,Art Blakey, all the usual suspects that I never gave much notice to when I was buying the early 60's stuff from the Stones etc. which are all mono.

Brian,
My family is based out of Rosetown and never realized that the world famous Shenanigans were from there!!!!
Kinda cool! 8)

PM me if you are interested in selling as it would be kinda funky for the collection.
Hell, I don't even care about the condition!!!
