I like the QED Qnex3 (or Qnex2). Its 100% OFC and good build quality. nothing fancy, just a solid cable. I think they go for around $50 on Ebay.

I don't know if you could still find them, or what length you might need, but I picked up a Supra EEF-1 pair of interconnects (2 feet, RCA) for about $59 after shipping on ebay. I know it stretches the budget a bit, but I think it's an excellent cable.

Cheers

Hey, lets not forget OZ Enterprises Unity line of cables....check those out. Big bang for the buck there, and you can sometimes score a really good deal on his ebay auctions.

Very pleased with all my cables from Omer...plus the top-notch sales and support that come with the purchase!

This was a really good thread idea, and the info may be useful to a lot of posters. If it gets a lot of input, perhaps a Sticky?
I believe Ultralink has decent quality cables in that range.
bluejeanscable.com is well in that range, unless you get dinged a heavy customs brokerage fee by the shipper. There is a Canadian source for the canare, etc they sell, just cant remember who.

Regarding the OZ post, all of his cables exceed $50 excepting the preamp jumper.

I would say about 5 years ago, someone could correct me on this, on the front cover of Stereophile, they were making suggestion at a $20.00 US high-end audio cable. It was an Acoutsic Research RCA audio cable Pro II series Directional Balanced Line Audio Cable which I do not have the model number. I remember at the time of reading the very positive review that I went out to buy one pair, tried it rigth away, and no sooner I went to buy 8 pairs at any Futute Shop I could find them.
Remarkable RCA cables for the money. Since then, AR as been taken over by Recotron if I have my storie straight.

anyone looking to spend 50 buck on some cables should just make them, RG 58/59 and some cheap RCA's will beat any store bought 50 buck I/C

You are correct on the Acoustic research Durand.
At the time,I picked up two sets of six for SACD and DVDA duty as well as a couple of extra pairs.
Good build quality and have worked really well with my system.
Wish I had scooped up more.
PR136 seems to wring a bell number wise...

Finski - OZ has a couple of ebay right now...starting at $19.99 and $24.99. But you are right, his list price starts at $59.99 according to his site.

I was thinking along the ebay route, and they are well built and sound good enough for me not to bother chasing around after cables (been guilty of that before....). I got mine on one of his auctions for less than the $50 mark.
