You could use a dual head USB cable. Many makes to be found that have a completely separate power from the signal. Once both are plugged in to your computer and the other in your dac and music is up and running you can unplug the power for even a cleaner signal. That is if your dacs USB has its own power supply. Hope this is of some help.

What manufactures make a USB cable that separates the power from the signal in a single wire?

Logically from a technical point of view it makes sense that you would want the power element separate from the signal element to reduce/eliminate as much interference as possible in the signal.

Brands/models that use this design?

Thanks, in advance,

I have an extra Wireworld ULTRAVIOLET 7 I no longer need. I got it when I was running a mac mini to DAC, but have since got rid of the MAC and no longer need the cable. If you want it, IM me and we can talk details.

There are USB cable that does not have the power lead at all. But in some DAC it causes problem when the bit is used as handshake.
