I was using optical but went to coax, as I was told it was better. Can't tell the difference. I just use a generic cable.

Transparent Super. A very good but older cable. I made a few changes to my system and the Transparent became an extra cable.
It's too good to leave in my "box o' cables" so I'm quite happily using it on my cd player.

For digital interconnects, it depends on the equipment you have, in my experience. When I had a TeacT-1 transport the best interconnect was toslink. I tried a dozen different coaxial interconnects and the differences were small at best and given the price differences, toslink won everytime. In a friend's setup with different equipment, toslink was the loser...go figure!
Currently I have a Bryston cd player and I use the same analogue interconnects I use in the rest of the system. Same brand of speaker cables as well.

BIS Audio Copper twos from player to preamp, BIS Audio Assess from Digital player to CD player which doubles as my DAC. Not sure how much they effect sound but they are well made and reasonably priced. The system does sound great so they're certainly not hurting anything.

I also use Bis audio interconnects (Expression) from my integrated to CDplayer and for the $$$ they are hard to beat. I'd like to try the top of the line Vivats and see if there worth the extra cash. Cheers

Rega Planet 2000 going to Cambridge Audio 640A is Kimber Hero with the WBT RCAs.

I don't listen to a lot of CDs. So the amp was not the highest end. But the CDP sounds great to me, if a little soft. The Kimbers get out of the way. It sounds good to my ears.
