What is your budget?

Might also be helpful to know the make/model of your gear.

Welcome to CAM!

In CAM go to "Forums", then go to "Cables and Accessories". There are lots of posts on the topic of cables. Also in CAM go to "Cables", then "Interconnects". Click on "Asking Price" twice and it will order them from lowest price to highest price. To me, this is the best selection of second hand cables that you will find anywhere. Other online sources of cables are EBAY and a site called "Used Cables". Try to find reviews about them before you buy.
When ordering name brand cables from EBAY, such as Audioquest or Monster, there is a risk that they will be counterfeit, so shop carefully. (I even passed on a pair of Audioquests in CAM because I thought that they might have been counterfeit.) I now prefer higher end name brand cables, but there are some good cables from smaller shops on EBAY, especially from the USA and HK, but it will be hard to find reviews.

There are no buy/sell forums on CAM; it is strictly against the rules. All sales activities must go through the Classifieds site and the forums are reserved for discussions.

Please familiarise yourself with the FAQ section of the Classifieds site here: http://www.canuckaudiomart.com/faq.php

You wouldn't be asking that question if you had read the rules Alan.

A6. No Shilling. Starting a topic to promote your item for sale or purchase either directly or indirectly on CAM forums is forbidden. Unsolicited offers of / for an item you have for sale on CAM as a solution to another member's problem in a thread is forbidden. Private Message is an acceptable way to approach a member to offer your item as a solution to their problem.

So...offering an item in a PM is acceptable.

Thanks, good to know. 8)

That is really up to the recipient of the pitch. There's a function to report pm Spam messages.

This is also why the PM system is restricted to "participating" members with more than 3 posts; to prevent autobots and scammers from bypassig the classifieds site's security measures. After all, would you give the keys of your house to a stranger who could, for all you know, be a mass murderer?

This is sort of in context with the thread today where somebody was getting ad responses in PM's. Why would you need to do that? Click 'Reply to Ad'. Selling? Post an Ad and wait. This thread in particular stands out. A guy asks a totally generic question and a seller wants to be able to pitch him something if not via the threads then by PM.

Define 'decent'.

For some, 'decent' is $1,800. For others, $75.

For some really really realistic folks decent is $25, for the religious group sky is the limit.

It's all relative.
