Picture probably won't help much, what name is on your cord?

A close up shot showing the branding on the cable, yes it would help. A typical photo showing the complete cable or a lower quality photo likely would not as the cable looks like any other generic cable. Which is why I inquired as to what was written on the cable. I can verify the branding later this evening, if it hasn't been posted by then.

Don't know if you have a Naim stock power cord, but 10A 125V = 18AWG which is quite all right for your Naim.

It's always better to have the stock power cord, or a good quality equivalent one, instead of cheap Home Depot type cord.

You could also get in touch with Jody, I'm sure he'll be able to help you.

Okay so my cords have a few random numbers, ratings etc but the more important part (14awg) 300V VW-1 WELL SHIN.

I can't say 100% if this also comes with the Nait series (maybe someone with a Nait could confirm), but this is what has come with all my Naim amps (150X, 200 & 250DR). If your's is only 18awg maybe its not a factory cord? I know you can pick up these cords from your local Naim dealer, just tell them you want the factory power cord for the amps. I recently picked up a couple so I could chop the factory male plug end off & install the same Wattgate end they use on the NA Powerline.

Edit: They should be ~$30ea.

As mentioned by Daren your cord should be a 14AWG Well Shin. That is the cord that came with my Naim 5i V2. That is the cord that ships with all Naim gear.

Naim gear is very sensitive to the power cord used. It will sound its best with the proper stock cord. I suggest you find it or buy a new one.

Pretty sure I have one floating around. Let me check. Not sure what it would be worth?

I never really cared for them personally, and yes, I've had a bunch of Naim gear over the years. I currently still own a ND5 XS and do not use the stock power cord with it.

I've also owned over the years a CD5si, Nait 5i-2, Nait 5si, Nap150/Nac122x/Flatcap 2x. Always thought the AQ NGR-2 was better over the stock cord.
