It had to happen eventually. The global economy, cheap Chinese production, market pressures for cheaper prices, the race to the bottom of the ocean, the quest for low price over performance. Perfection has been achieved for the naysayers, the audio cheapskates, the budget audiophiles. I saw it today with my own eyes and I actually bought one as a souvenir of this great day. What is it you ask? What remarkable product could possible evoke such excitement? Well, it's this;

The real question for me is would it provide the usual Monster sound quality :wink: if used in a home audio application? Will Tara Labs have no other choice but to start selling their RSC for a buck?

Are you saying these cables "walk on water"... for the price?

Wonder if these are a discontinued series because they are not even on the Monster Web site.

Don't try to second guess the situation, it is what it is, a new low water mark in consumer electronics. Current or discontinued, who cares. It's real Monster Cable, and it's a dollar, consider the collateral marketing ramifications.

Mave you thought about counterfiet goods? About time that the counterfieters catch up to Monster.

Could be fake for sure - I know Van Den Hul was having a problem with fake cables all over the internet at one time...although I just dug this up http://www.amazon.com/Monster-I101XLN-2 ... B00009V3S1

I went to the Monster Cable warranty page and successfully registered the product via the bar code. The best part is where they ask you how much you paid, and the lowest category is "under $100". Yeah, like $99 below!

The packaging is perfect, the cable is perfect, the screen printing is perfect. It's not fake, but the sky is definitely falling. :mrgreen:
