The analogue pass-through input on my EAD pre/pro uses a DB-25 connector. Many years ago I purchased a six channel pass-through cable made by Monster, with six RCA connectors at one end and a DB-25 connector at the other,( I know, Monster yuk, but it's surprisingly good). The only problem was that it had to be completely re-wired as the pin designation for the EAD does not adhere to THX standard, while Monster cable does. The owner of the store where I purchased the cable is/was very handy with a soldering iron and was, for a price, able to expedite the re-wiring. The problem is/was that soldering large gauge conductors onto a very small DB-25 connector pin is very difficult. After a couple of years, I suddenly noticed one day while listening to either a SACD or DVD-Audio disc that there was no output from my sub. It turns out that the re-soldered connection for the sub pin had come loose. The person at the store repaired the cable for me free of charge even though it had been a couple of years since the original work had been done. Unfortunately last week, after even more time having passed than the first time it came loose, the same solder has broken loose again. Off to the store I went. Now, I don't deal with this store very often as they are basically a mainstream consumer electronics retailer who has plasma and LCD t.v.s hanging all over their walls, and they don't sell any high end audio, so I hadn't been into the store for quite sometime. When I brought the cable in for repair this time, I was informed that the owner who did the re-wiring, had suffered a serious illness and is no longer capable of this type of precision work. So, finally this brings me to my query. Is there anyone out there in CAM land that knows anyone local to me that has the ability and would be willing to undertake this small but difficult repair?
Your help,as always is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

P.S. I have back up cables, but they are so remarkably inferior sounding to this Monster one, believe it or not, that I really need to get this one repaired, until I can afford to send my pre/pro down to Noble for a pass-through upgrade that allows the use of six regular single ended interconnects, for analogue pass-through. I can't find replacements for this cable as it is long discontinued, and even if I could it would still need to be completely re-wired like the first one. Thanks again in advance.

Nobody knows someone who is good with a soldering iron, that lives in my area, that would be willing to tackle this?

I will pay them of course.

I can't say for sure, but contact John at http://jcgilmour.ca/ - he's the best guy I know for the job and is in Fort Erie. Tell him that Patrick referred you. See how your free cable deal boosted your karma?

Thanks Patrick. Good to hear from you again. How are the Vecteur speaker cables?
I will e-mail John and ask if he may be of some assistance. Karma is a wonderful thing.
