Will any of the Oppo mods available from this service have much effect on bluray discs played on my UDP-203 over hdmi to my Marantz NR1606? I'm not sure if these mods reduce jitter on hdmi.

I did read it but I'm not sure about the usefulness of the clock module upgrade on hdmi output. The feedback is about the improvements from the linear power supply.

His reply was brief:

Hi.

Yes, Clock mod.does improve HDMI performance.

But linear power mod does better sound and video.

I will be shipping my UDP-203 to him, probably later today. Getting all the mods except for the expensive aluminum case upgrade he offers.

But I agree it is difficult to decipher where the improvement for each mod will be.

:D Just being curious[nosey  ]. Where is oppomod located? :) Hope the mode does magic for you. I do still use my Oppo Nuforce 93NXE in the second system. The NXE board was designed by Alex Dondysh [has worked with Modwright and oppo] on different designs. Also built his own dacs. This board gives a more rounded sound to things and is very easy to listen to for long times but the 93 itself had to be repired once under and once out of warranty. I must say Oppo has super customer support. I bought my 105 from Solutions [great people]. cheers, lloyd

I've been modding out video display systems, both analog and digital, since about 1998 and earlier. I did years of single change analysis.

The idea that those changes make a difference in video is entirely valid.

My advantage is that I could witness the before/after ---in near minutes.

Test....teardown, mod (single change), reassemble..test..all in about 30-60 minutes.

I did at least one a day, for approx 5 years straight, pretty well 7 days a week. OCD.

And that was just one 'term run' at video, never mind the audio, where it was just as bad for over 20 years. And still is.
