Hello everyone,
I'm looking for recommendations for technician for my vintage Marantz 2285. I purchase this summer on Canuck but really didn't have time to fully test out ..... work, renos, and my daughter moving away for school.......... I wish I had since the unit purchase a huge list of issues ... headphone jack is broken, most of the controls - selector switch, tone controls, mono buttons, volume switches are all faulty (sound cuts out bin channels). Too much time has expired for the original seller to do anything so I'm stuck with it! Anyways it was totally my fault as I put blind faith in the seller.........In order to repair it I tried to de-oxit everything with only a slight improvement. I think it now needs service to bring back to spec. Any recommendations in the York Region area?

Thank you in advance for helping me out!

I have had a few things rebuilt by Drago. Excellent work.
He is in the Dixie Rd./Burnhamthorpe area, Mississauga.

Anatech in Georgetown, I have not found anyone better for that type of restoration. Just sent a friend there last month he cannot believe the improvement. He did my 2275 a few years back excellent work, one of those pieces I should have held on to. Also very fair priced. T

Another vote for Drago. He recently restored my 1550 and it sings! He has also done two Carver amps I own. Honest, capable (in spades), responsive and reasonably priced. My 1550 took 68 components (caps, resistors, relays) to make it right. His removal of the hundred or so bugs was free of charge! :)
