In a time when it seems we are throwing away what we have, in order to get the newest latest version. I am excited, thrilled, and uber thankful, for one man that has not given up, who continues to do amazing things for all of us in the audio community, should we need him to.

Last year I took a couple of pieces to Drago for recapping. He did a magnificent job. My Krell FPB 400CX and Krell KPS25SC never sounded so good.

About 6 months later. My KPS25SC died. Unrelated. A series of brownouts caused the digital stage of my Preamp/CD player to stop working. Works great in Analog. Transport is all good. Laser is good. Just no digital audio.

A few months go by. The problem hadn't been found. A lesser man than Drago would have given up. Heck I gave up and asked for it back, I would use it as an analog piece only. He refused. He was convinced he could figure it out.

Every other shop would have sent it back to me and said, sorry we cannot find the problem. I would be the proud owner of an expensive anchor.

But Drago, He did not give up.

Still looking for the answer. But with his resolve, I am sure we will find it.

I am glad he has such passion and drive. If every you need something serviced in the Toronto area, be sure to look him up, he is one of a kind.

Cheers

that's a very inspiring story - i hope he's able to resurrect your krell.

just curious, why it is, that while there are plenty of people buying cryo-treated power cables, i don't see anyone connecting their gear to a UPS unit for battery power backup.

personally, anything electronic that i care about has a battery power supply, which also, incidentally, acts as a power conditioner/voltage regulator.

I had the pleasure of meeting Drago last week and he seems very passionate about what he does.
