Andre emailed me earlier in the week and we set up a meeting at my house for 10:00. Andre was interested in a pair of 12ft. speaker cables I had for sale. He told me he needed 12ft and I assured him of the length. It turns out they were about 10 1/2 ft. Needless to say I felt like a complete jerk. 1) for wasting his time and traveling expenses and 2) that I never bothered to verify the length when I purchased them. Andre was very understanding and a true gentleman. I thought the least I could do was offer to pay for his gas, but he assured me it wasn't nesscessary. Once again, Sorry Andre.

We all make mistakes. Unfortunately, is hard for us men to admit to them! Your post proves you are a bigger man than most! I am sure your customer left knowing that you were still an "up and up kind of guy".

Those of us who actually know both mac10 and MrAcoustat personally know that they are both good, honest, easy going and honorable guys well worth doing business with and with very different personalities. I can just imagine the scene with both of them trying to out apologise each other and it makes me smile.

That's what happens when you deal with experienced mature people.
Sometimes stuff is missed without intent.

And it is just forgotten and passed by.

Welcome to CAM.

Stuff happens, no big deal.

Lunch should me invoked here, or at least a pint. That sounds about right.

I saw a post warning not to purchase from a user the other day and to see those makes me frustrated as I enjoy this market and think it is a true rare gem to have this kind of community to share things with. Especially for myself being separated by the sea from the rest of you folks. But, to see this is truly an indication of our strength in community and goes a very long way. Cheers to both of ye, men.

3-year-old thread bumped up by a new user...

And I guess the thread is about Andre (MrAcoustat) - RIP

Actually zhenya01, it wasn't about Mr.A as I had originally thought; see the post below
