I've been looking into ordering an amp from Space-Tech Laboratory but haven't yet pulled the trigger. Their designs look very interesting. Some CAM members have had mixed experiences with their products. Check out the website to see for yourself. Audiois1st I'm running a couple of Space-Tech produc...

Recently purchased a Bluesound Node 2 to replace a Grace Encore as my new media streamer. What I sought was the capability to stream Spotify or Tidal which the Grace unit does not support. I didlike the standalone nature of the Grace where apps are fully embedded. Now I need to pair another device a...

I have recently purchased a Bluesound Node 2 which supports MQA. Is anyone aware of Spotify plans to support MQA? Whether/when Tidal will provide an Android client?

I'm running Kodi on a Raspberry Pi3. I would never recommend this method to a non-technical person. The price is right and it has its glitches. A PC platform is more turnkey but you'll still be confronted with the configuration and iffyness of Kodi streams. Freetelly is an improvement but it will st...

Space-Tech Lab QA115-MK4 preamp to go along with a Space-Tech Lab HP-150 Deluxe amp I bought off CAM. I like 'em and have been trying different tubes in each.

Have you checked kijiji for people heading your way looking for passengers to share costs? I did this once to have a radio delivered from New Brunswick. Worked well. Paid the price of a passenger and she was still able to have passengers since the radio went into the back of her wagon.

I'm not 100% certain what you mean but for what it's worth use whatever tube each component will support and you should be fine. I am looking for advice on any optimal matching between preamp and amp in tube numbers (using tubes they support of course). For example, is 6sn7 in each unit best or doe...

I have a tube amp and tube preamp that each can use the same tube types (signal and power). Is there any rhyme and reason to how they are best matched? Same, different, whatever works (my current mode)? Preamp currently has 6L6Gs and 6SN7s. Amp currently has KT66s and 5691s. Considering swapping out...

IME, "tube rolling" in a unity gain tube buffer will not change the sound quality. People often confuse "tubes" as being responsible for the improved sound of a tube buffer when in fact the improved sound is a product of eliminating the impedance mismatch. Not in my (single prod...

In summary, my experience has been that a preamp has accomplished the same function that the tube buffer did for me with greater versatility (source switching, remote control) and overall better sound. The buffer was a tactical choice at the time before I had a preamp while trying to discover what I...
