Well if you lived closer I'd let you have a listen after it's done. Now in the spirit of connecting with the community, and sending you know who over the edge, here are a few family pictures :-D That post was 2 days ago, Drago400. Where have you been??? Maybe it took him that long to think up a trul...

Great tuner Bill , had a T -100 over 30 years .

I had the FM-only T-101 with the rare factory walnut cabinet for 20 years. I sold it in '07 and I regret it to this day. Big mistake.

...faulty knock sensor, the wrench that did the head gaskets didn't time the engine correctly, bad o2 sensor. Could be a few things. Bill, Great pics! Hidden under the hood is a turbo engine. Without the hood scoop of the Scooby who would know? My Fozzie is stock and for some reasons it feels under-...

Love the Scoobies! I did a turbo swap and lift, on my winter wagon. Rebuilt 2.2l turbo from 94 Legacy Sport. Wisco pistons, ACL bearings and STI timing belt tensioner. Then rebuilt and modified the original heads from the 98 and bolted them (and the 98 intake manifold) to the turbo block. Stock comp...

This is the first T-100 i've ever heard.
So far my modified KT-7500 sounds better (at a fraction of the T-100's price) but does not perform as well with the difficult stations.
I'll reevaluate after the replacing the electrolytics.

I haven't scrutinized were the electrolytics are in the circuit but at a glance, the capacitors used in any of the radio stages are likely ceramic, and I won't be touching them. ej251 eh? I have a vanity plate that i'll soon mount on my 98 outback. (not an ordinary 98 outback :-D ) There are 5 elect...

IMG_20170930_180050433.jpg Picked up a working, but tired sounding, unit late last week. I plan to refurbish it and wanted to share the project with the CAM community. Unit shows no signs of any repair or modification. Just how I like it. :-) Radio buttons are a bit intermittent but come in fine wi...

You can place a bucket under the leak or you can just fix the leak. :) I choose to fix the leak. Using dull sounding speaker wire will mask the problem but the problem is still there. ...course if you own old Conrad Johnson equipment the B&W's may be just the thing. 1.2 ohms in series ...

Oh I'm not hunting, I'm playing. I have a system that plays music very well and I'm not looking to make a change. The B&W's came from a friend who is the original owner and I couldn't resist the price. I've heard them on his system many times and knew their character well. I haven't had a speake...

Adding a coil to that will make it possible to define both ends of the attenuation. (notch) I want to leave the tweeter's high end roll off alone and just focus on the troubled areas but I do like the low cost of your idea. :-) Putting 33 ohms across the tweeter may have lowered the point at which i...

Yes. And it only cost $2 to do most of that. ;-) I don't see an impedance plot. did you post the wrong curve? This is the frequency response curve from the article. Again, it looks like the mid range hump needs attenuating by about 3dB's. http://www.audio-ideas.com/reviews/loudspeakers/graphics/b&am...

I don't see an impedance plot. did you post the wrong curve? Either way,my DR2 won't break a sweat at anything this speaker throws at it and I don't listen so loud that the loss of efficiency from pulling the mids and tweeter back, will cause me any hardship. Just now dropped the resistor value acro...

Found a review of the speaker were they did spectral measurements, now a days a review is personal opinion coupled to literary masturbation. Anyway, the graph showed a rise in output, at and above human voice. The mid driver handles all of that so i'll look into the notch filter Michael suggested bu...
