It really depends on how good the stock phono cable is. Some are very good, and some are just an afterthought. I find stock Linn tonearm cables to be pretty average, and I replaced the ones on both my Ittock (with Cardas Neutral Reference) and Akito tonearms (with XLO Reference Series). I also think...

That's why you order from a reputable seller, Negative Nancy.

I use a Bryston 5B-ST for the front three channels of my home theatre system. You might not find one for $1,000 but possibly just a little more.
I agree about using lesser electronics with those speakers. A Sony amp (even and ES model) is just kinda sorta average, and they deserve better.

Myself as well as many Lansing Heritage members highly recommend Ebay seller "looneytune2001". He is the go-to guy for all things JBL as far as foam kits are concerned. Another good choice. I have ordered from his as well, but shipping is more expensive and you might have to pay customs f...

A comet is a celestial object that orbits the Sun along an elongated path. A comet that is not near the Sun consists only of a nucleus—a solid core of frozen water, frozen gases, and dust. When a comet comes close to the Sun, its nucleus heats up and releases a gaseous coma that surrounds the nucle...

Really! They used the wiring harness out of one of these to make audio cables!

That's the reason they are so insanely expensive. You have to find one that is still running.

Since the heavier elements like copper, silver and gold are fused in collapsing stars, it's safe to say all cables are made of stellar material from outer space. Nothing special here. You know full well that there is no place for reason in a cable thread. Now sit in the corner and think abou...

AudiOCD is an affliction that causes the sufferer to spend thousands of dollars on dubious products, followed by months of Internet searches to justify his decision. Then he convinces himself that his purchase has changed his life, and that he can magically hear things in music that the musicians di...
