[quote]Despite best efforts from developers to create a clean and trouble free update, the almost infinite differences in configurations of hardware, software and even environment means someone, somewhere will experience an issue. It’s unfortunate but inevitable, regardless of the OS! As for turning...

Regular PayPal is my option . Not friends and family. Leaving yourself wide open + in my experience most buyers simply won't agree to it .A buyer wants protection as well. If there is a disagreement could get you banned from PayPal. For the % involved doesn't satisfy my risk tolerance. Yes, there is...

I appreciate that to do this on a structural basis - changing the forms etc. is daunting but even a code in the listing like local only or local preferred in the header might be a first step . I don't know if there is capacity for inserting icons in the listing field? Yes, some people can be "p...

I am wondering if it possible to create an icon or legend for listings where there is no shipping option . There is considerable frustration is reading through an ad and then finding out that the seller is not interested/willing/able to ship an item. This seems pretty common in larger urban centres ...

A dark horse which I think is wholly underestimated is the Hagerman audio line . Their website is I originally bought the Bugle 2 and then upgraded to an older Cornet ( tube model). Innovative engineering and the money is spent on the circuit , not the jewe...

Just a little curmudgeonly comment. Not trying to rain on anyone's parade but to raise some practical issues based on experience : To all those posters who talk about fraud, going to the police , suing etc. . For the amount involved and the nature of the transaction it is unlikely you will get any s...

Hagerman Cornet3 I have the earlier Cornet2 - also a great choice but a little harder to find. Jim Hagerman's stuff has an amazing price/performance ratio. I have had many tube preamp/phono stages over the years including a number of classic...

One of the more interesting record shows around . Held in a local Legion with kitchen and bar . Beer, burgers and browsing -what's not to like . Low key with a mixture of dealers and private collectors with a full range of music in my experience , best on the Island IMHO . .. The show is at the Bran...

I use two devices for "EQ" actually room correction which is arguably different A TacT RCS 2.2XP for my main system Emotiva Stealth 8's + two Pinnacle subs. Wasn't cheap but the results are , in my view , surpass any other change to my system. There is a moderate to steep learning curve to...

My view for what its worth The key in my experience learned over the past 15 years of trying to address this is accurate measurement of what is going on in the room and at your listening spot . Don't know if you have done so or if you are relying on what you are hearing per se . Lots of programs ava...

and of course we couldn't expect anything like that from our taxpayer funded state radio the Q is not the same nor geezer recollections. .. not to mention the inane content requirements. ..but enough of that . Switched to NPR many moons ago .. greater variety, less of a hair-shirt mentality ab...

Re Anthem - you can of course use the pre outs on the Anthem to other amps and/or powered speakers . I have recently gone that route as to my ears the strength of the Anthem is its room correction and the ability to setup two separate configurations and/or bypass. If you don't need the Atmos stuff ....

Bottom line for me - there is no 100% full proof method. If someone wants to scam you they can find a way. I prefer EFT transfer all around esp. with someone who has multiple positive feedbacks as a seller - which I read. I also google their email address etc. PayPal works if you follow all the step...
