I had the i32 for several years and really enjoyed it. I’d say it matched your description very well and I would add the word natural to the descriptors. Thanks to the UFPD the response time was very fast and the edges had sparkle but were never bright. Only Class D amp I’ve ever liked. I’m still us...

Got this from a search tool called Google off this new thing called The Internet. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Class-D_amplifier See link at bottom of article for equivalent on Class A, A/B. I’ve tried 4 or 5 Class D amps; just did not have enough body to the music for me. Smooth, but thin. Prima...

Dave, maybe we could do the “Audio Jones For Charity” drive.

Get CAM Member donations; and if I don’t make it to 6 months, I have to pony up to equal the amount donated.

We could use the money raised, to provide good audio equipment to children raised in homes with bad stereos.

RE: Music collection got bigger though.

.... it would be inhumane to put a moratorium on new music. Amnesty International would probably get engaged if we tried that.

Addiction, the gift that keeps on giving. According to Gabor Mate its only addiction if it causes harm to you, your family & friends or your finances. Well..... two out of three ain't bad.-- 29 Mar 2018 18:03 -- Think you could go 6 months without adding any new audio changes? Switching tu...

Think you could go 6 months without adding any new audio changes?
Switching tubes, "spare" cable, amps, speakers, etc. lying around don't count.
This is about reisting the NEW equipment jones.

The specs on your speakers shows they cut off at 46Hz. Placing your sub cross over around 50hz would get rid of lower mid range / upper bass bloat, which is consistent with what you described you heard, when you turned the sub off on Bruce Cockburn (who prob does not have much going on at 46 hz)

[/quote]My favourite story is about a BOAC (now British Airways) pilot who was having difficulty on his approach to Munich. The air traffic controller was getting frustrated with him, and asked "haven't you flown to Munich before?". The pilot replied (in a very proper British accent) ... &...

They say confession is good for your soul, so: 1) I bought a pair of speakers out of the US that I heard at a friend's house "15 years ago", just because they were available; and and I liked them at the time. Had no where to use them but did it just because I could. Enjoyed them briefly an...

No offer is a bad offer. For me it all just needs to be respectful. I can’t understand people who get angry at so called low ball offers. Or people who just don’t respond to an offer. It just means someone values your stuff less than you do and maybe you need to reflect on that. When I give an offe...

In that price range I now like Musical Fidelity. I was so impressed with a recent M5si I heard of theirs.
Hegel 80, not so much. I found it to be a bit of blaster amp. No finesse. Did not like the DAC.
Prefer external dacs for obsolescence reasons stated above.
