How your speakers sound in your room is the biggest variable. Assuming you have a working amplifier that doesn't distort at the levels you listen, the speakers and the room are the most important thing. Almost any room with benefit from some kind of treatment be it curtains, area rugs, or profession...

Have had the P3ESR three times now, recently moved to the Trenner and Friedl Sun's. If you can manage the extra coin and still want a small package, get these speakers! It's like moving from a 4 cylinder engine to a smooth inline 6. The Sun's never sound like they are trying too hard, always effort...

I've bought many amps in the segment. Yamaha a thousand times over. Maybe even for any amp under $2000. It's really hard to find anything that does more so reliably well.

I'll add in my unpopular opinion. I hate the LS50. They sounded thin and dry to me, gave me listening fatigue very quickly. P3ESR are almost the opposite, but I would agree they are an easy speaker to live with. For longevity, I'm really coming around to small speakers. Very happy with my Trenner an...

I was lucky enough to find them used from the US, but Mark pointed me in their direction. Would recommend going to look at them there, he has several models in stock and they are stunning.

Update! Just received Sun’s last night. They are even smaller than I could have imagined from the photos. They are also even more beautiful. Build quality is excellent, the finish of the walnut is spectacular, but they could easily be confused as stylish desktop speakers. Until you hear them. Compar...

Good morning, I've been debating pulling the trigger on a pair of Sun bookshelf speakers. It seems that very few have stirred up so much controversy! If they are as good as the reviews suggest, they may very well be the perfect speaker for me when considering size and space available. Has anyone had...

This would mean another box, but I've had a really good experience with the new Yamaha NP-S303 Network Player. It retails for around $500 which is excellent value in my mind. Using Spotify connect, music is chosen from your device but played directly from the NP-S303. This means much better playback...

Would love to see the finished product! I would be a bit worried about heat distribution from the fireplace, don't want to cook the electronics.

I'm a little worried putting my two cents in.

I think you should only spend two cents.

Did earlier but I can again. When comparing performance with cars there is plenty of practical ways to measure performance. There’s no debate about track times or horsepower because it can be measured and proven. When it comes to cables you can compare gauge, materials, and whether or not the signal...

Sorry but I still don’t understand where you are going with this. I can not objectively prove that an exotic cable will sound better just as you can not objectively prove that a BlueJeans Cable is just as good. Dead lock so debate is over! Acceptance! I can accept the fact you feel that a cable, re...
