I also read elsewhere that Oppo was having a difficult time with 3rd party apps not being cooperative (this is hearsay, so take it for what its worth). If that were the case, and apps like Spotify, Netflix, Pandora, Hulu, etc were making it difficult and/or expensive to provide streaming within thei...

NOFX's early **** was fun as hell, like take the piss out of everything, that is fun. Pennywise was also different and super f...

I heartily welcome any new technology that enhances my enjoyment of recorded music. MQA hasnt cost me a thing so far, since it’s available on Tidal and my everday listening DAC supports it. But to be honest i have only found a handful of recordings that I thought worth listening to on a regular bas...

That is true, not sure if I have ever had a mishap with bubble over the original boxing, but I usually use cut down Styrofoam a keep in a locker of sorts, comes from other packaging, I use that between the inner and outer boxes.

Lots of bubble wrap and cardboard and when I think it prudent...double boxed. Not going to make a video for you!!! lol That is ok, maybe someone in the future will. Most of the topical subjects I follow have such, just not hi-fi/audiophile, I think I know why but that is a separate convo. Bubble wr...

It is rare that I don't have the original box...but it does happen...in ALL cases I pack as if I am sending it to myself!!! 8) Ok, we are getting somewhere. I do as well, but how EXACTLY is packing for yourself, not vagaries? Spell it out in full detail. That is the point of this thread. Better yet...

Usually provided cords are throw ins, which is why many audiophiles think that power cords matter....but this will derail the topic, so if we wish to discuss, let's do it in another thread. I usually provide one of my health care equipment sourced cables, which I buy in bulk. They are beyond repute,...

I rack-mount my gear. I've been doing so for about 2.5 years and love it. You never have to worry about ground loop anymore unless the designer was seriously daft/negligent. Vibration control is audio-fluff stuff IMO (not here to argue, but when the rack is super heavy, vibrations are moot anyway). ...

I don't know where exactly to put this on the forum, but thought it might be interesting to have a thread about topics related to easing the process of buying and selling. To be clear, I would prefer that this thread stay clear of rantings about specific deals, instead focusing on best practices for...

I haven't followed the diy crowd for a long while, but Peter Daniel was a very prolific member of the diyaudio.com community and I even think he had a sub-forum over there. My best suggestion is a re-direct over there, as everyone over there knows him.
