I really liked the sound of the 110. But, it took me some getting used to after having a Dyna 10x for quite a while. Different sonic signature, but unsure which I liked more. A question though, as I still have my DL 110 and several other carts I am currently not using. What do you do with the carts ...

Hey guys, Have been contemplating an upgrade for quite some time now. But, mostly I am interested in these three brands. Not limited to, but mostly considering these three as I see them on the market in my price range. Wondering what the differences between them all are in terms of sonics. Mostly I ...

All spindle holes are not created equally... I've never really seen it as a big problem. I mean, it's a flimsy piece of pvc. That said, not all spindles are created equally... I've had some LPs fit very snug on a table, and very loose on another table. I'm sure it's completely small amounts of varia...

I, too, have an RP-3. I found the Exact to be a decent upgrade, and the biggest improvement over the stock Elys2. The ruby bearing is cheap. So, it's not worth second guessing. I'm sure it lowers the coefficient of resistance and probably lowers the noise floor. The question is by what margin? And a...

I buy TAS infrequently. I like it. It seems very high quality. I subscribe to Stereophile, initially mostly because of Michael Fremer and I really enjoyed Stephen Mejias' The Entry-Level when it was there several years ago. Fremer always reviews things out of my price range, but he talks a lot about...

Yes, I tried the Exact and didn't love it... Curious about the Apheta...

I've been using a Graham Slee Era Gold with the Bronze. Have also tried tubes with the Yaqin tube phono. Is the Apheta that good???

Hey folks, I've owned several tables over the last few years... Pro Ject Debut Carbon... Rega RP-1, RP-3, have used RP-6, Michell Tecnodec with RB2xx arm that's rewired with the tecnoweight. I've been weighing out upgrade options. Currently my RP-3 which I still use with 2M Bronze and rega spacers f...

Rega makes great tables. Move up the line on the Pro Ject end and they also get better. I liked the Debut over the RP1, but prefer the RP3 over the Debut and some of the higher priced Pro Jects. I really like Graham Slee phono stages. They sound great. But, I would say skip the subsonic filter. Woof...

I dislike the Red. One thing it did good, though, was rock music. But if you're not a fan of harsh sibilance and inner groove distortion, I'd opt for the Blue over the Red. Dramatic improvement. I didn't find it too much in the high end. I used one on a Debut Carbon and I use a Bronze on my Rega. I ...

A couple things to consider are your tracking weight and alignment. Tracking weight can have an effect on VTA and SRA as well. I like to think it as a set and forget... But, am fiddling with it until I think I get it right. What I will say is that I have a Rega RP-3 with Rega spacer. I found it dram...

Yeah, but you know the way audiophiles are. Soon as its out of commission price goes up. I'd say we'll see folks selling older models at a premium because of this news.

New stock maybe OPPO would discount until they're all snatched up. But then again, who knows?

Best route with an already decent phono is to add a decent Step Up Transformer. Forego the new phono stage and just try out a reasonably priced LOMC. Denon 103? 304? Try it. See how it sounds. You could be in less than $500, which would probably be less than you'd pay for a new stand alone phono tha...
