I ran a Mini with JRiver/JRemote for 3 years and the last year full time (when I eliminated the cd player ), I now have an Aurender music server. What's the difference? For me, it's a convenience thing. If you like to play with software and a computer, love to tweek things, not bothered by the cont...

So I finally took the plunge and bought a used 2010 MACMini to use as a music server. Let me start by saying that I am not a MAC person, I am the holdout in my family. I use a work PC laptop, and can function reasonably well, MAC... Not so much. I have the MAC running to my GF TubeDAC-11 via digita...

I've been using a Rega P3 connected to first an older receiver and then an Emotiva XSP1 preamp for some time. I recently picked up a Rega P6 w/Ortofon 2M Black. I'd like to keep both turntables, which means I need another preamp. I've been reading that preamps need to match well to get the best ban...

Ive loved my s5e's for a looong time - listen to mostly jazz, vocals, blues, some classic rock - beautiful midrange, non -fatiguing, smoothness and absolutely no hint of brightness (in things like searing sax, trumpets and voices) is a must -and these spendors have it. Moving from the s5e, could ha...

I saw one reader stating " He tried Arros and was not impressed... I can guarantee you it is not because of lack of juice. I had Arros for years and they sounded fantastic with a 20 watt tube amp ..... in a larger room than yours. I was the person that said that. I stand by it. I wasn't impres...

I'm interested in the naim su...

I have been using a Mac Mini ( dedicated to Audio ) for over two years now. It feeds a Naim Dac V-1 and then on to a Supernait 2 / PMC Twenty 23's. I sold my Cd player 1.5 years ago and have never looked back. I now have only two sources. My Mac Mini and a turntable. My TT is the Rega RP10 feeding G...

I'm a DB Poweramp user and like the software a lot. It can easily do this for you. I see you have some local users offering to help and good luck with it. Just a question, are you doing this because your new DAC or music server does not support ALAC files? The reason I'm asking is I don't think the...

Super easy...i could do it for you, or explain how to do it. You just need a few more posts then you can PM. I have about 1500 cd's ripped to ALAC and 20-30 HDtracks titles. I am sure it is easy for some people but not for all people......just ask my kids....LOL If I sent a spare hard drive would y...

I would do it for you, no charge. However, I'm in Waterloo, Ontario. You would have to mail me your library on an external USB hard drive that is at least twice as big as the library (or a separate drive if you prefer) for the new FLAC files. Hopefully someone in your area responds...if not my offe...

I know DB poweramp will do this but I am a useless when it comes to this stuff. Any body out there want to do this for me.......
