The USB B connector (square connector) is for streaming from a digital source such as a PC with a media player (jriver, foobar). The USB A supports mass storage devices, thumb drives, hard discs, etc. The until will read information from these storage devices. Both will still require D to A convers...

Picked mine up from Audio Excellence today for $60. I have tried all sorts of tweaks in my time and this is the 2nd cheapest, next to the high-end cc 75ohm terminator. I have an Oppo 105 which has substantial isolation, damping, and is power conditioned in 5 ways. Given the amount already done I was...

I could give this a try. I have an external drive feeding my Oppo 105. I use the regular usb input (not the DAC usb input). Does anyone know where I can get one in Canada (somewhere in the GTA or Waterloo)?

I know power cables have made a difference in my system. I've tried a few and actually settled on Audio Sensibility Impact SE. I can't help but notice the listening later at night sounds far better. I know brainwaves are effected by time of day, etc. But my stereo always sounds clean and more engag...

Wireworld Eclipse 7 Copper should fall in that price range. Below that price range the Oyaide PA-02 is also a nice warm, musical, and forgiving cable. Purist Audio Musaeus (can be had much under msrp and in your range). The Cardas golden reference is still better than these, but of course at a highe...

The GP is a solid step up from the Neutral Ref. Bass is more defined, soundstage is much more grand, musicality increases substantially, and resolution is greater. The Golden Ref sounds more natural to me than the GP. Treble is more accurate, mid-range a little sweeter and bass is slightly more refi...

I've had my entire cable set cooked by dts-99 throughout the last year. I have not had heard any negative effects on any of the cables, only positives. Some cables have greater improvements than others after cooking. Here's a quick review: Cardas Clear RCA IC's - This cable had the most improvement....

Since I last posted the dealer A Eden let me try the cable for a few days without cost( big thank you to Robert and Mike) The GR n my set up had more weight in the midrange much better bottom end, but for some reason it did not feel as open. Plus it was a tad bit short for my needs. But I do need a...

Try Clear Day Double Shotgun SC's. I compared against the Cardas GR and they were in the same league. It's a big step up from Neutral and would be synergistic on a tube setup. My tests were done with an Oppo 95/Nad M3/Magnepan 1.7's. Also, an 8' pair of this cable runs about $450 new. See A'gon for ...

I've spent almost 3 years with the 1.7's here's some ideas that may help folks who are using resistors and have trouble taming harshness. Cardas makes a solid set of jumpers for the 1.7's. Noise floor is lower, revealing details and taking away harshness for overall more smooth and musical sound. Bu...

Just curious if CAM members can recommend a reputable shop that performs modifications in Canada, preferably around the GTA?

I have an Oppo 95 that I'd like to have modified with a Bybee Music Rail and an Audio Magic Pulse Gen ZX. Thanks in advance!

I can't comment on cryo treatment before and after, but would say the Take Five Audio's Neotech NEP-3001 bulk cord is a winner cryo treated. Of the 3 OCC cables I have (Furutech Alpha 3, Acrolink 6n-4030) the cryo Neotech had the biggest impact on my system. Take Five doesn't charge much to cryo tre...

Blue Circle FX2. Even with the latest audience conditioners this product still makes a huge difference. Bass and dynamics will increase, unlike other conditioners. Their 6X plug in filter is equally as good.

Martin Logan Grotto i or Depth i. I also tried a REL T3 and REL R-218 (with Magnepan 1.7's) and found they matched well, but could not provide enough output. Mye Stands and Acoustic Panels improved bass to point where the Maggies provided more bass than the REL's. However, the Grotto and Depth match...
