Considering their list of catagoris is endless, and there is no info on any physical location, country of origin, or that their contact page only takes your info, not giving their info, it looks a lot like a sophisticated spoof site. Oh, and they have spelling errors, which is rare on official sites...

If you want to retain the usually low quality sound, 60's or 70's ain't much difference. I turned my solid wood Motorola cabinet into an audio stand for the living room. others use them for building book shelves, cat play units. lots of pics on line of conversions. as for restoration of the audio......

Maybe not of much help, but I'd think the right person wanting the whole matching set would pay a pretty price for those, through I don't have any idea what that may be. In your place, I'd be patient and find the right buyer for the whole set. I agree with this, adding...for you to consider...do yo...

Goldring UK offers repair service on their website. their Canada distributor is Audio Alliance, I would contact them about finding repair service. Maybe they have a replacement service where they take your unit in return for a new or repaired unit at a midway cost. Mail to the UK is reasonable, time...

Loose sleep over it? no. but I like to 'optimize' the looks a piece was born with. A new to me item, I clean any corners with Q-tips, clean the surfaces well, not just for looks but for any for the sake of 'cleanliness'. ('used' means.. I don't know who sneezed on it last...) TT lids get a Novus 1-2...

In electronics, 10 years is obsolete....!!. vintage, more than 20 years old, and still stands the test of time...sound and quality.... and that is tricky, is a 20 year old Yamaha amp the same quality as a 20 year old Classe amp..... not a chance.. so you could call the Classe Vintage, and the yamah...

Aside from textbook and dictionary, use of this word Vintage in Audio seems to be related to 2 things. I think properly it should apply to generationally differnt technology. An example is in the transistor amplifier output stages, what was used in the '60s, mid '70s, '80s etc were generationally di...

There is Nikko, then there is Nikko, by Asti Corporation. The change came around 1985/6. The powerful and respectable Nikko Audio line including the Alpha 220 mentioned designed and built what Nikko fans mostly care about. As the audio wars of the early '80's found Nikko Industrial spin off Nikko Au...
