Then with an electrical engineer background you should understand that a 2db difference measured in a noisy, uncontrolled room with unknown reflections and nodes all while trying to conceal a microphone easily falls within a margin of error. And verifying with another individual using a smartphone ...

Read this to get you going: http://www.facstaff.bucknell.edu/esantane/movies/ics.html Even when the price of silver is high, silver interconnects are reasonably inexpensive to DIY. Silver is silver and there's no need to get caught up in the oil extracted from snakes. I made 99.99% pure silver wire...

Been streaming Tidal hi-Res for about 8 months now, haven’t bought a CD in that time. Have over 2000 CDs ripped to Nas in Flac. No interest in owning the physical media anymore.

I think these are only mandated for bedrooms if I’m not mistaken. I would avoid them just out of principal - simpler is better.

Hi, Note to banerjba. 2 cents worth. I ran a small closed sub with a pair of NHT Super Zeros for a while. It wasn't an NHT sub and I forget the make. I played with it a lot and it was a fun experiment. But in the end you are always faced with a stubborn 'integration' problem, and adding a second su...

Screw Bell. Horribly over priced although the Fibre system is very good. Check out City-Wide Communications to see if their high speed is available in your future location. I live a bit out of town and they service me with 100 MPs high speed for $65 a month tax in. Great service

I totally agree with your post. It’s also why I like everything to be louder than everything else! :D

Lots of diffusion here, I’m sure the room (while not small) must sound huge. I’m jealous.

I doubt this trend is limited to Winnipeg residents. Most people just don’t care enough about music in general. The 1% would rather spend $100k on a boat or car, but can’t wrap their minds around a similar amount for something that gives us joy each and every day. Go figure. :D
