I had a chance to listen to the prototype on a MacBook Pro a few months back with the NightHawk headphones and it was a nice improvement.

We have a few of them in stock and we will be ordering more next week.

I LOVE Kingston, Ontario and I wish you the very best of luck! I used to buy from The Sound Room many years ago which was a little further down the street. They had a pair of Apogee speakers hooked up to some Classe amplifiers. An amazing system I can still remember. I also purchased my Mapeknoll tu...

Just a point of clarification on my post regarding the audiophile vs home theatre issue as I may have generated some confusion perhaps. Sorry about that... It really wasn't about home theatre replacing two channel in my mind (although for the vast majority of consumers it certainly has) but rather t...

Mine was the MR-1 because it was basic and balanced but my favorite consumer deck was actually the Tandberg 3014A. Many people compare the Dragon to the Tandberg 3014A but I've never heard (or even seen...) a Dragon. Tape deck that is...

I might have a slightly different take on this. I think home theatre happened. If you assume that a certain portion of the household budget was directed at the stereo experience in the 50's, 60's, 70's, and perhaps, into the 80's then definitely by the 90's you see home theatre emerging as an option...

PayPal always sides with the buyer. Send to registered and preferably confirmed addresses only would be my recommendation. Signature, tracking and insurance are also a very good idea. If the buyer says that they didn't receive it you have some recourse. It might also be worth your time to run the sc...

I've just had installed a "SonArray" system which has eight satellite speakers and a sub-woofer. I had this attached to a class D amp with a standby feature to a Sonos player and then connected it to the whole-house system. The entire system is waterproof and winter proof so you don't need...

I'm using a professional model Weiss DAC 1 mk III FW with a digital volume control direct into a pair of Atma-Sphere MA 2 mono blocks driving a pair of Soundlab A1-PX 'hotrod' electrostatic speakers. Previously I was running the DAC and everything else, including a Studer A820 mkII and an SME 30/2 t...

I have to say how blown away I was when, recently, I got to hear a couple of R'n'B-flavoured jazz tracks—copies of master tapes—played on a restored (important!) two-track, 15 ips Studer. It wasn't, and isn't, one of my favourite musical styles, but the fidelity—the living presence of the music, if...
