I see that the Marantz NA6005 Network Audio Player has a built-in AM/FM tuner, maybe it could be a good compromise between a dedicated tuner and a music streamer? Anyone has any experience with the Marantz?

I heard that Internet radio sound quality is not all that good compare to the full potential of « analog » FM.

Hello,

I am looking to add FM radio (there are still a few good ones in Montreal) to my main system. Since dedicated tuners have pretty much disappeared, what is the best sounding way to listen to FM radio in 2018? If necessary, my preamplifier has a pretty good DAC.

Thank you

I have been reading a lot about some of your suggestion and saw a Cayin model that seems to be widely available in the US but haven’t seen it on any Canadian website. Cayin A-50T After all, if it is good enough for Harry! "The Cayin A-50T is the best low-price amp I have ever heard, and it riva...

Looking to get my first tube set-up (no speakers yet, waiting to decide on the integrated first). Right now I have been looking at Cayin Audio for their combination of performance/feature/price. What do you think of the Cayin LA34 or the CS55A? Other usual competition is: Line Magnetic LM-211ia Fina...

I replaced a traditional system (DAC, preamp, amp and speakers) with a pair of Devialet Silver Phantom. Finally I have stopped asking myself questions about my system and I am now enjoying my music. Just for the ease of use, streaming capability etc. These are just PURE fun :D If you want to get rid...

Hello

Spent my Friday at the show and I must admit that we have some of the best audio retailers in Quebec. Congratulations to the entire team of this year edition. Michel & Sarah, you are unbelieveable.

Hats off to Plurison for their involvement over the years.

A great show

If I were in the market I would love to try Line Magnetics, Finale Audio would be on my list too. I guess it depends on the speakers. Line Magnetic seems to have a lot of followers. Speaker will come in second, after the integrated amplifer, there are a lot high sensivity speakers to chose from. --...

For something a little different, check out the SCA-NG from Tube Nirvana in Oregon. It's a kit based on the Dynaco SCA-35.

However it says that this is not for a beginer. I am not really handy. Interesting but I will pass.

Rather than buying something based on a popular vote why not base your decision on your own listening experience and preferences? If the above is your short list audition each of them in your own home on your own speakers. Because a lot of you have already been in contact with these amplifiers so w...

I would strongly suggest Yaqin. I have had three of them with no problems at all. Love the sound. Presently have a 100B driving a set of modded Klipsch LaScalas and a MS-20L driving a set of Magnepan 1.6. Been into this hobby for over 40 years and very happy with this equipment. I prefer sticking w...
