Steve, the instructions on centering logo etc (I believe) is marketing more than function. I reviewed the drawings of these and construction as well as had a lengthly conversation with a dealer of the product. Neither if us can see how it would make a difference. Certainly in audition at the store, ...

I used them on a turntable, they were screwed into the base of the table in replacement of the factory footing. The isolation was well noted. The bass was significantly tighter, the overall dynamics cleaner, and the detail was more refined. I would have to agree that they do what they are said to do.

Just to throw it in there... if I found a cheap Mac 6900 or something, I would buy it ;)
I just would never pay current MSRP or the (seemingly going) resale right now.

I agree, for the dollar - you could do better.

Back to Mercs and BMW's.

(And yes, I don't mean Mercury)

I have owned 4's, 3b's, b60's...all of them sounded good. Virtually indestructible, undeniabiliy reliable, and - yes, they do look like bricks. I dont think any will steer you wrong, McIntosh (used) hold value well; however - initial purchase price is (IMO) unjustified when compared to other well de...

When i had my McIntosh gear I though it was pretty... I also thought it made nice background music; however, elevator music (too me) is not very engaging. Kinda boring. I understand it may have been the Vintage of the gear, 60's., not being newer stuff. Before you ask, yes - it was recently serviced...

I am sorry, that speaker ad makes absolutely no sense to me. I don't know if he's trying to confuse the buyer, or if he's just confused. I am going on a limb and saying English may not be his first language - & regardless, the pricing is often (IMO) outlandish. I've seen his ads as well, my own ...

Ceramic resistor, or resonator? Resonators are on car exhaust systems...

if it's a resistor, that's a penny part - and, a plenty.

placing anything infront, or in the room, obviously affects sound. i have no idea why drums would be placed there. especially since they will vibrate and emit their own sound... one of those look like a snare, if so - it will vibrate and rattle like heck. as (dare i say) cool as it looks, i think he...

Digital when I want to explore artists, and really - pick what I feel like hearing...

So, both!

I have the gyro upgrade on my ft-101a.
I love it. Give it a spin and watch those numbers fly!

Seriously though, it is nice.

89 db at 4 ohms... Not the most sensitive speakers and I am not familar (someone may be) with the impedance swings of these speakers, but I suspect they may dip below 4 ohms; making the load perhaps not the easiest for all amps. Just because they are small does not mean it will be "overkill&quo...
