And someone paid someone to do this? Sorry, don't understand why either... Sure, it's interesting - but, to encode it - decode it...a lot of work and cost to do. Clearly this is a academic exercise with little practicality, at least for now. As for Chubby Checker, CSI may just find him now at the cr...

Yup, Dan gets all my stuff that I bring in to Alternative Audio.
Trustworthy, fair prices, skilled...that's key.

I can't comment on Teo's diagram. I did see that one on line when I researched to build mine; however, I opted for the latter that has worked quite well in my vintage set up. Mine is two 10k equalling 20. I could not get the correctly rated 20k resistor at 1%. They had larger tolerances, which I did...

Here is mine.

Again, you can certainly try yourself - or have someone do it for you.

Resistors are not expensive, rca & project box - together may be about 20 bucks.

This (below) is a great explaination of why to not use a "y splitter"; taken from elsewhere: Here’s the rule: outputs are low impedance, and must only be connected to high impedance inputs. You should never tie two audio outputs directly together! If you do, each output tries to back-feed ...

Y splitters WILL NOT work.
You won't get true mono. You absolutely need to use resistors - those eBay patch cables will not work and if your output device has op amps, you may damage them. I will post a picture tonight of what a proper one should look like.

I built a summing box about a year ago.

It was quite easy to build and I kept a diagram with close up pictures...

In fact, I am sure I could build you one.

What were you hoping for in fair price for one?

Not to be rude, but - you are on a public site posting ads to people.
If you can't desl with people (regardless how annoying), don't post ads.

I was a proud owner of their modest EL84 based amp from the Finale line.

All that I can say is that they are certainly a class act and their product the "real deal"...
I only regret one thing, selling it.

I am sure, at some point, we'll deal again.

Problem with LaScalas is, if you like the music you say you do - LaScalas are sub par in the bottom end. The term full bodied means, to me, you need better performance than 50hz in the bottom end. Cornwalls fit into the term full bodied better with usuable bass down to 30-35hz. Some JBLs would do ve...

I personally can care less how much "profit" someone makes selling something, it's not my business to care. Now, if the price is "jacked" to make a big score - I may be annoyed that, in my opinion, it's been over priced - but, In the end, I just will not buy it... Pretty simple. ...
