I have found over many years of many speakers and houses that best speaker is on a concrete floor.Pure sound dead without resonance like on a main floor wood framed home. The Mcintosh gear deserves Tannoy.I definitely prefer the sound of vintage Tannoy over newer Turnberry and the like.Too much attention paid to esthetics and eye candy.Much more valur for the dollar with older Tannoy Ardens,Monitor Golds and similar.I have SRM15X Super Red Monitors and love them.
