That's the standard pricing structure for audiophile tweaks and cables. Why would service be any different.

Libor, I think the special forty reproduce female vocalists so much nicer the the contour twenty. The special forty will also play louder. They really play classical music well. Well actually they play all music extremely beautiful. :D When did you own a pair of the Contour 20's? From my limited ex...

I've used the 301 on Cornwalls, Heresy's, La Scala's and lots of other Klipsch speakers. I find it runs out of steam on the bigger Klipsch and EL84 or 300B amps are far more suited to the Cornwalls if you want to use low power tubes. The EL34 or 6550 is also a formidable choice for Corns with power...

Hopefully someone can answer this question here so I don't need to start a new thread.

Has anyone tried pairing the MP-301 with Klipsch Cornwalls? If so what was the result. I'd like to get a cheap tube amp.

I get the mental picture of mulleted flea market knife salesmen and people that arrive at garage sales at 6am when I see the question. Those types come with the territory no matter what you are selling so it's not a big deal.

In your situation and with the existing speakers you own I'd consider buying used Parasound Halo gear. I've been through the gamut of HT gear from Anthem to Theta and the Parasound has offered great bang for the buck on the used market.

If your setup is that limited by speaker size, space and placement get something that doesn't have horrid bass response and stick with it. Your bass issues with the Special 40's may eventually become bothersome over time. In that situation I'd just get a smaller pair of ATC's or PMC's.

The wife and I have auditioned about four pairs of B&W's so far without success and it actually bugs both of us enough that one of these days we're gonna buy a pair for home trial to see if it's the Store setup's fault that we don't like them. I've heard a lot of positive comments about B &...

Have you thought about parking beside a less busy metro station and taking the subway to Lucien-L'Allier? You could park for free at the Pharmaprix parking lot beside Cote Vetu metro and take the orange line. It's a minor detour and much less stressful. The Metro is full of "interesting" p...

Never had any brightness issues with Dynaudio on Pass Labs and Hegel gear regardless of the cables used. Expsoure was a bit edgy.

When I look over my favorite speakers since childhood the majority have been the many varieties of horn speakers. To my ears they have the most natural/organic sound. I've really only disliked the aluminium woofers paired with horns in the Klipsch reference series. I love the Heritage series so it'...

IME the Sonica DAC was great value paired with the right gear and a train wreck with the wrong components. Sadly most buyers don't have the extra gear to experiment.
