For me, I think the biggest disappointment is all the people that have nothing but negative things to say about this years show. I've been to every show since the start & will continue to go every year they continue to put on the show. Was the shanty town the best option, no but there have been...

TV is the Sony XBRX75X940E

On a related note, Brit Floyd still has a few stops in western Canada before the end of the year. They are a fantastic Pink Floyd tribute band.

+1

I never miss a show.

I just love it when I see negative posts about venerable brands, be it Yamaha or Onkyo etc.., I have no doubt that these posts are mainly due to either ignorance or personal frustration about an issue that was not understood. Onkyo and the word Venerable do not belong in the same sentence. We are a...

LG is 'Lucky Goldstar', and is rooted in the company "goldstar'. A reputation for quality that was so bad, they had to change the name. Not quite true, but goldstar was definitely known for their, uhm, er well..crap. I'm glad someone else knows this, as a consumer electronics tech I've known t...

If it's basement (light controlled environment) get a projector, well below your budget, much bigger image and real cinema experience. Home theatre with a TV is just a TV room. In order to get the movie theater feel the image has to be 1/3 of your vision (including peripheral vision) this is hard($...

I purchased from my local independent shop & typically would recommend doing the same if its an option. I'd much rather give my $ to someone who actually knows what they are talking about vs the big box stores that typically know less then the customer. They typically can offer just as good of ...

I would only buy a Sony these days. They've had their rough spots in the past; Panasonic had them beat with their plasmas, even Samsung was better. From what I saw last year, Sony was on top and Panasonic a shadow of their former glory. Make sure you can turn off the wi fi on the set - the RF radia...

Thanks lads.

I was going to wait for the Panasonic OLED's this Oct. However, with pricing in the high 7K to start, I'll have to pass.

What is the reliability of the OLED's ? Any issues ?
