It's ridiculous that it's getting harder to sell android media boxes. Why should the company selling / configuring them be responsible for what an end user decides to do if they've been appropriately warned. If I didnt have my own massive media server / private cloud I could install kodi + streaming...

Use Waves plugins, they have an audio unit version https://www.waves.com/plugins/q10-equalizer Is usually what I use. Lots of customization with that one. Thanks for the info. The sound quality on it is just incredible. I use their plugins pretty much exclusively in my mastering. I would love to fi...

If you're planning to rip CDs using your computer - I recommend you download Exact Audio Copy (EAC) for free. http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/ Please excuse my ignorance but why a ripping app.? I've always slipped the cd into my iMac and let the computer do the copying. Never had a problem. EAC perfor...

Here's an update but not much of one. It's been awhile since she's made any public statements. It's just so sad. http://www.msn.com/en-us/music/celebrity/joni-mitchell-says-battle-with-rare-morgellons-disease-makes-her-feel-like-shes-being-eaten-alive/ar-AAtmkJX?li=BBnb4R7&ocid=mailsignout Roug...

EveDoesAudioThings, Thanks for providing the two links. Very interesting. My concern is the lack of support for Multi-channel (5.1) music. What will I buy if I needed to replace aging gear? I guess my issue is that I'm using gear for Home Theatre as well as 5.1 music. My set-up is not a dedicated b...

Haven’t been too pleased with Intel’s lack of progress when it comes to their CPU’s and chipsets. The X299 chipset is a cluster ****, confusing consumers as to what it can actually perform. And the Z370, which can be fitted with some of the industries highest clocked CPU’s is limited to only 16 PCI...

Out of frustration with a corrupted windows update that no tools even DSIM could fix, I said *** it and bought parts for a new machine. Yes I'm reinstalling windows on the current one, but it's becoming one of my partner's gaming machines so she can have her own desk here. Ironically, I picked up an...

People actually have AV software on their machines??? Just sandbox your browser, don't visit sketchy sites, and don't download files unless you know what you're doing. I don't think I've ever really had a virus, except a single one when I was 7 or 8 and on Kazza, and I've probably downloaded 3 milli...

Yeah, just don't cheap out too much unless the application is non critical.

Also a piece of advice to people who are looking to do the opposite and split the same signal, 9/10 times the cable based ones do not work, you need an active HDMI splitter for this purpose

A smart person advised to me get a laptop with fairly small SSID (maybe 256 M) and store all my music offsite. This way I can never lose everything due to hardware failure and I can just load what I need at any given time then delete when I am done. Makes sense. So I guess a decent processor (i5), ...

Wife just told me she read that sous vide machines are a leading cause of salmonella poisoning by people using them incorrectly. Make sure you follow the proper instructions! I mean.. LOL?? I think these people are just doing things wrong. I eat my steak pretty much raw on the inside, eat raw fish ...
