I have been doing sales for years and NEVER charged anyone any shipping materials, even custom made crates. This is why this topic is quite on the edge... A person can charge whatever they want for something. Was your friend informed of the cost to ship before he paid? He was not, he was only infor...

A custom crate costs me 2-3 hours of work and 50-60$ including wood and internal 1"1/2 Construction Foam. It is not so "EXPENSIVE" but saves you LOTS of problems.

I have a friend who just bought a speaker and he asked me what to do as the dealer asked him for 75$ shipping, when he got the unit he has remarked that the shipping cost was only 38$, half of what he agreed to pay. When he inquired the seller he got the answer that the box costed x$ amount, the pac...

Hello Terry, please get close to your speaker's tweeters (less than 4-6 inches) and you will hear hum/hissing whatever happens, it is almost inevitable, could be only 20-30 dB, almost inaudible but still there. As I said previously, some very complex speakers with 30-40-60 components in their cross-...

Hello, after trying many units on my very high efficient speakers (97-99dB) I can confirm that there are VERY FEW units that don't bring in hum in your system. -Preamps on phono/Phono units have the most hum and is impossible to get rid of, after a certain level the RIAA hum is VERY audible. -Amplif...

Happened to me last year to sell a pair of Monoblocks for 1250$ and a few hours later a person who was looking for a pair for the last 3-4 years offered me 2000$, 750$ over my initial asking price, I still refused and kept the deal going, I find it is more than important to keep your name clean and ...

The only main reason that I don't use panels is that they tend to sound the same with all music played (sound the same in terms of tone and realism) Imaging and bass are less important for me as I do listen to Mono records and they rival any Stereo records if they are well recorded, in terms of soun...
