Amp is in beautiful shape cosmetically and is a strong 8 out of 10.
All controls lights switches etc work well.
Exceptional sound from this vintage piece of Yamaha craftsmanship
A slight hum is evident on output when there is no volume or input. Hum is unnoticeable when music is playing but is present at a very low level between tracks. You have to put your ear right up to the speaker to make it out but it is there nonetheless. Therefore the "as is" description.
Perfect piece for the electronic savvy collector or someone with a friend who is into electronics. At the very least to be used for parts.
This is too nice a machine to just let go.
