Carver SD/A-390t 5-Disc CD Changer. Cosmetically, the unit is in excellent condition with a very clean face. The unit runs well with all functions working correctly and I do have the remote control. The tray system is not the quitest by any stretch of the imagination but it does the job. The unit was modified about 5 to 6 years ago by Albert at STL in Vancouver (http://www.space-tech-lab.com). At that time, his entry level DAC was the 24-bit/96KHz DAC board. He inserted that board into the unit and had to add a small black box to the back of the player to accomodate the additional electronics necessary. The modified unit has a much more open, natural sound as compared to the stock single-bit DAC. I would prefer a local sale due to delicate nature of digital equipment in addition to the fact that there is no locking mechanism for the tray, or at least, I don't have the locking screws for the unit. However, I will securely pack the unit if shipping is required. The $300 price includes all shipping, handling, insurance and transaction costs.Interac money transfer preferred but I will accept Paypal from verified and confirmed address Paypal members only.
