""This award winning XA6950 is a serious contender for the title of the best all around stereo integrated amplifier for the money. The seriousness can easily be seen by the astounding weight of 57.2 pounds (26 Kg), rated 100 W/channel in pure Class A, an all-out thermal management system that includes heavy-gauge fins, grooved enclosure, and the armor-like aluminum faceplate. Within lie two toroidal transformers, one for each channel. The XA6950 actually allows the preamp and power amp sections to have their own dedicated power regulator. The preamp section is adopted from the highly regarded Xindak XA8200 preamplifier. The pure Class-A power amplification is achieved by the asymmetric current negative feedback design for much improved efficiency. The output stage utilized three pairs of audiophile-grade high-current SANKEN transistors. Consistent in all Xindak's products, only audiophile-grade components find their way into the XA6950: Dale resisters from the USA, Wima MKP capacitors from Germany, Gotham wiring from Switzerland, to name a few. One of the RCA unbalanced inputs uses an American-made CMC 24K gold-plated connector for the most critical listening.

This unit is about 2 years old and is a 9/10.Gently used by a mature audiophile. It really does have a marvellous tube-like sound with lots of balls(IMHO). No issues whatso ever. If it's so great why am I selling??? I'm off my meds and need a(nother audio) fix.
